SEATTLE (AP) – King County prosecutors have filed aggravated murder charges against a transient accused of the June 1 execution-style shooting deaths of two young Seattle men shortly after they left a gay nightclub.
Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole says police are working with law enforcement in New Jersey, where 29-year-old Ali Muhammad Brown has been linked to a robbery and carjacking last weekend in Point Pleasant Beach.
The Seattle Times says police and prosecutors have not determined a motive for the deaths of 23-year-old Dwone Anderson-Young and 27-year-old Ahmed Said.
Police say they linked Brown to the slayings after finding his palm print and 9-mm shell casings inside Said’s car. Court documents say the mother of Brown’s children told police that her 9-mm semiautomatic handgun was missing and that Brown had access to it.
Seattle police say Brown is also wanted on warrants for failure to register as a sex offender.
The Times says Brown served federal prison time for conspiracy to commit bank fraud in connection with a plot to defraud several banks.
