On June 15, The Hammered Lamb and Southern Nights in Orlando held fundraising events to benefit those affected by the Pulse tragedy.
The Hammered Lamb raised $44,230, according to Assistant General Manager Shannon Harper. The Orange Ave. restaurant — located less than four miles down the road from Pulse — donated a percentage of its bar sales to a fund for the employees.
Southern Nights General Manager Danny Vega says their fundraiser, which occurred on the same night, raised more than $77,000 for Pulse’s displaced staff members. Southern Nights donated 100 percent of their proceeds from the event.
