Orlando Pride’s Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris welcome new baby

ORLANDO | Orlando Pride players and couple, Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris introduced their adopted daughter to the world on Instagram Feb. 12.

The post features a series of photos of the beaming couple with their new baby daughter along with the baby’s name, birth date and birth weight: “Sloane Phillips, 2/12/21, 6lbs 11oz.”

“Welcome to our family, Sloane Phillips,” they wrote. “[W]e are so in love with you already!”

Krieger and Harris included a message for the baby’s birth mother, who is not named in the post.

“Dear Birth Mom,” they wrote. “Our promise to you: We promise Sloane will be loved every single day by us, our friends and our family. We promise to give her the tools to live a happy, successful life of inclusivity and support. We promise to share her adoption story with her from the very beginning and celebrate every milestone! We promise to encourage her to follow her dreams no matter how big or small. We promise to be open minded and respect your wishes to have future communication and that she will always know how much you love her!”

Krieger and Harris have been married since December 2019. They exchanged vows in a ceremony at Miami’s Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Dec. 28, 2019. The couple first met in 2010 when they became teammates for the Women’s U.S. National Team.
