Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge released her newest album, “One Way Out.” The album is now available digitally on all streaming platforms and will be available in stores on vinyl and CD Oct. 1.

The album consists of nine songs written by Etheridge in the late ’80s and early ’90s that didn’t make the cut back then.  She believes that now the time is right for these songs to be heard.

“I’m so excited to bring these songs to my fans,” Etheridge said. “Years later I still am moved and can’t wait to share these tracks live.”

Etheridge stumbled upon these decades-old songs/demos years ago while gathering materials for a retrospective box set. As she went through the songs, it brought her back to the start of her career and how they just weren’t right for that particular time or album. Some of the tracks were written before she had even come out and never felt comfortable releasing them but knew they had potential.

When she was sorting through old files to share with fans on Etheridge TV’s Friday Night Time Machine show — Etheridge felt the time was finally right. Fans will finally get a deeper glimpse of who Melissa was then, with the release of “One Way Out”.

Etheridge is currently on the road in support of the album and will be touring through the fall in support of “One Way Out”. Dates include new cities and rescheduled shows from 2020.

All tour dates and additional info can be found on Etheridge’s website. Watch the music video for “One Way Out” below.
