TAMPA | Tampa Pride held its inaugural Pride on the River Sept. 18, kicking off its 2022 Pride season with a full day surrounded by supporters from throughout Tampa Bay.

This year’s Pride on the River featured a drag brunch, performances at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, a riverside festival and a diversity boat parade. At least one Pridegoer found themselves in the Hillsborough River but was quickly assisted by local officials escorting the lineup.

The festivities welcomed Tampa Mayor Jane Castor as well as “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Brita Filter and headliner Alyssa Edwards before culminating in fireworks. Watermark, a proud sponsor of this year’s event, was on hand to help celebrate. View our photos below and read more about the celebration here.
