ORLANDO | The Pride Chamber of Commerce, Central Florida’s LGBTQ+ and ally businesses and professionals organization, has named Todd Delmay as the keynote speaker at this year’s Pride in Business Awards & Gala, being held at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando Nov. 4.
“Todd Delmay stands as a powerful icon of LGBTQ+ advocacy and storytelling,” The Pride Chamber wrote in a press release Oct. 9. “His historic journey, along with his spouse, in the fight for marriage equality here in Florida, not only made them the state’s first legally married same-sex couple in 2015 but also took them to the halls of Congress as guests during the State of the Union and to the White House for the historic signing of the Respect for Marriage Act in 2022.”
Delmay is the former chair of Pridelines and current president of the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council, as well as the outgoing executive director of The SMART Ride, president of the Dolphin Democrats and the newly appointed executive director of S.A.V.E. In 2022, Delmay ran for a seat in the Florida House of Representatives in District 101.
