Staff and volunteers rolled up their sleeves to renovate Joy Metropolitan Community Church (MCC).
According to Rev. Terry Steed, Sr. Pastor, Joy MCC’s sanctuary has been the same for the past three decades.
Renovations include new carpeting, a fresh coat of paint, removal of some sheet rock that opens up some lighting and the part Steed is most excited about-new seating.
“These renovations will enable us to make the space truly multipurpose,” Steed said, in an email to Watermark. “Good for not only Sunday worship but also smaller groups, meetings, seminars and gatherings.”
Joy MCC is requesting donations. Each chair costs $50, and donors would receive a nameplate for their chair indicating who made the donation.
“It is most important for all to know that no church funds will be expended for this renovation so all of the needed funds and supplies need to be gifted, donated or purchased through others,” Steed said.
