ST. PETERBURG | St Pete Pride closed its signature weekend June 26, celebrating two decades in the organization’s birthplace with the Pride in Grand Central Street Carnival.
This year’s street festival was its largest yet, closing down block after block to host entertainment, vendors and more. The Grand Central District called it the “most well attended Pride event the Grand Central District has ever held in our 20 year history.”
The organization noted that Cocktail’s main stage provided the gathering’s centerpiece, bolstered by the opening of The Wet Spot. Crowds enjoyed performances by CeCe Peniston, Crystal Waters and Rosé from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” who spoke with Watermark ahead of the gathering.
