PHOTOS: Savoy’s Celebrity Bartending raises $15K for The Center Orlando

ORLANDO | In a city chock-full of local celebrities, it was no easy task for the LGBT+ Center Orlando to wrangle some of Orlando’s most talented and influential personalities in the efforts of raising money to benefit the Center.

The 2023 Celebrity Bartending night, hosted at Savoy Orlando and sponsored by Tito’s, had a “versus” theme this year where LGBT+ Center Orlando CEO, Dr. George Wallace, arranged the evening into various categories, pitting: community leaders vs. community leaders, media personalities vs. media personalities, sports team vs. sports team, bar/restaurant owners vs. bar/restaurant owners, influencers vs. influencers and drag queens vs. drag queens.

Throughout the night these celebrities used their one-hour block behind the bar to sell as many drinks as they could while securing lots of tips. Some of these celebrities took photos, others provided thank you gifts with every drink ordered but many just poured way too much on a single drink.

100% of the tips made went back to The Center as well the sales of Savoy’s boozy Jell-O shots and a portion of all Tito’s vodka sales.

The TOP Bartender for each hour was:

6 p.m. – Sean Mundyschein, Orlando Gay Chorus – Ivanhoe 1915

7 p.m. – Martha Sugalski, WFTV – Savoy Main Bar

8 p.m. – Bryan Bonilla and Team Looney Tunes from Central Florida Softball League – Savoy Main Bar

9 p.m. – Jason Lambert/Hammered Lamb – Patio Bar

10 p.m. – Blue Star, Blue Lala Entertainment – Savoy Main Bar

11 p.m. – Ginger Beer – Ivanhoe 1915 / Addison Taylor – District Dive-Savoy Main Bar (Ginger was crowned the hour’s winner but online donations brought Addison and her to a tie!)

The TOP raising bartender for the night was Jason Lambert from the Hammered Lamb.

The TOP online fundraising was Nancy Alvarez with WESH 2.

The Center was very grateful for everyone who participated and honed their bartending skills, but a special thanks went to Savoy’s bar staff who guided the celebrities with their drinks and emcee Chantel Reshae.

The total amount raised was $15,000.
