ORLANDO | Casselberry’s Patio Bar & Lounge, located at 2671 S US Highway 17/92, is hosting a Pride event on June 25 from 2-6 p.m. The evening will include music, stand-up comedy, free food and drag performers.

Ami Katherine Jenkins, a member of the planning committee for the event, says that the bar held the event last year and it went so well that they decided to bring it back. She adds that many people asked if the event was coming back and if it would be even better than before.

“Last year was excellent. It’s just a good time with a lot of good people,” Jenkins says.

Jenkins says that as much as Casselberry’s is a biker bar, it’s also an LGBTQ+-friendly bar. While Casselberry’s is not a self-identified “gay bar,” it has embraced the community and agreed to host a Pride celebration at the bar.

“Even in this little city of Casselberry, which isn’t so little anymore, it’s a way to bring people together and that’s what I’m hoping for,” Jenkins says.

The celebration is set to have a drag show at 4 p.m. and will have music from DJ George throughout the evening. There will be free food and raffles, with proceeds supporting the Orlando Youth Alliance.

The event is free and all ages are invited. For more information, visit Casselberry’s Patio Bar & Lounge’s Facebook page.
