Headdress Ball 2015 raises $325,000 for Hope and Help


Headdress Ball 2015 is in the books.

Here’s the press release from Hope and Help: 

Over 1,100 people attendeda spectacular display of color, dance and outrageous headdresses at “Colors of the World”, the 26th Annual Headdress Ball to raise HIV/AIDS awareness on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Hilton Orlando. In addition to raising community awareness of the virus and what it can do to people, the event raised over $325,000.00 to assist Hope and Help Center of Central Florida.

The event included many local and national personalities in attendance to show their support for the cause. Among the attendees wereMary Murphy, So You Think You Can Dance Judge, Jorge Estevez from WFTV, Troy Bridges and Julie Broughton from WKMG, Jill Bucco from 101.9 AMP, CJ from 105.1 MIX, New York Yankee Johnny Damon and Johnny Magic from XL 106.7.

“Hope and Help are pleased to announce a grand total of $325,000, net profit. This money allows the agency to continue much needed services and programs to Central Florida. This year, we managed to cut Headdress Ball expenses, increase HIV awareness, and highlight our clients, all while keeping Headdress the most outrageous black tie gala in Central Florida. We thank our many sponsors, vendors, donors and volunteers; without them none of this would be possible” Russell Walker Community Development Director.
