More details are slowly emerging concerning the newly revamped Sarasota Pride festival, scheduled for Oct. 30.
For the first time, Sarasota Pride will be on Main Street from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. But the week leading up to the festival is getting jam-packed with Pride-related events.
On Sunday, Oct. 24, Sarasota Pride will sponsor a “Walk the Bridge for Equality and Unity in Sarasota” at 1 p.m. The short walk crosses the iconic Ringling Bridge and those participating will meet under “The Kiss” sculpture on the bayfront.
Monday, Oct. 25 will see the Drag Diva show at the Golden Apple and LGBT authors will sign books on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Other events are also in the works for Pride Week, including a movie night and a Halloween costume gala on Friday, Oct. 29.
