Adoption education events planned
Now that Florida’s ban on adoption by gay people has been overturned, the ACLU has scheduled two events in Palm Bay aimed at protecting those rights. On Friday, Feb. 18, there’s a town hall discussion from 7–8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 19, the ACLU will host a speakers training from 1–4 p.m. Both events will take place at Riviera United Church of Christ. The Center seeks yard sale items
The Center is soliciting gently used items to be sold in a fundraiser yard sale. Those who wish to donate may drop off items between now and Saturday, March 5 at The Center. Donors who are unable to deliver items should call Ryan Salyer at 863-512-4740 to arrange for pickup. All proceeds benefit The Center’s programs. The sale itself is 7 a.m.–2 p.m. on March 5.
