Phillips named president of Florida's GLBT Democratic Caucus
The Florida GLBT Democratic Caucus has elected a new leadership team, naming Tampa Bay's Sally Phillips president of the organization. Its membership also elected a vice president, treasurer, secretary, communications director, membership director, legislative director and campaign director at their annual winter conference. Each will serve two-year terms. 

Winter Party app launched
Winter Party 2011 Festival has launched an app called â┚¬Å”WPF '11,â┚¬Â compatible with iPhone, iTouch or iPad. The free app allows subscribers to follow the party's Facebook feed, access contact information and share content with other users. This year's Winter Party Festival is March 2-7 in Miami. The app was developed by Seekway Technologies and is available in the iPhone app store. 

Broward Schools expand non-discrimination policy
The Broward County School Board in Fort Lauderdale voted March 1 to add gender identity and protection to the district's non-discrimination policy. The district has 256,000 students, making it the largest in the state. Previously, the district's anti-bullying policy has served as an example for other districts across the state.
