Friday afternoon there were a steady stream of women checking in at the sold-out Marriott Courtyard Village (do lesbians always travel with their own pillows?) One mini-van pulled up with big yellow lettering: “Woo Hoo! Gay Days!”
Based on the all the shrieked greetings in the lobby, there are lots of return guests. The pool area grew more crowded by the minute, and there was lots of dancing and pool kanoodling even in the bright hot afternoon sun. A very festive and fun atmosphere.
A random sample revealed that there were lots of women from New York and South Florida. Phish Phest organizer Sue-Bee Laginess was there with several cast members from The L-Word. Noted: barefoot shoes, jazz hats and big baseball hats, extreme hair and extreme tattoos and piercings.
