Newly appointed: Rev. Jennifer Marie Daysa began her new role as pastor on June 1.

Pinellas Park – The members of Good Samaritan Church of Pinellas Park unanimously voted to put Rev. Jennifer Marie Daysa behind the pulpit. She began her ministry on June 1.

The pastor, who has two children with her wife, Julie Daysa, was previously the director of youth and family ministries at the Congregational Church of Exeter in New Hampshire.

The Rev. Daysa graduated from the Princeton Theological Seminary in 2010 with a Master of Divinity Degree. She was raised in the Presbyterian Church and is now affiliated with the United Church of Christ.

She has a wide array of experience ranging from hospital chaplaincy to homeless ministry to directing middle and high school programs. She takes a special interest in creative worship, outdoor ministry, and nurturing spiritual development.

Good Samaritan Church is a progressive, Affirming/More Light Christian congregation and is part of the Presbyterian Church USA and the United Church of Christ.

This is her first call as a senior pastor.
