Charlie Sheen will go on NBC’s Today show Nov. 17 to announce he is diagnosed with HIV, according to TMZ.
The announcement will come a day before the National Enquirer releases a story discussing Sheen’s sex life. Reports indicate that the story will accuse Sheen of contracting HIV and spreading it to dozens of women in what they call a “multi-million dollar cover-up,” TMZ reports.
“Charlie Sheen will reveal to the world that he’s HIV-positive, sources connected to NBC’s Today tell TMZ,” TMZ reports. “Sheen will sit down with Matt Lauer on Tuesday morning to make the announcement.”
Sheen would draw even more attention to celebrities who are HIV-positive which has already attracted headlines since Who’s the Boss star Danny Pintauro announced his positive status to Oprah this past September.
Sheen’s announcement will come just weeks before World AIDS Day Dec. 1.
