We’re not sure about you, but we’ve had a hell of a year!

In the forthcoming links of literature and reflection, you’ll see some of our highs and our lows as a community, but we’d be lying if we didn’t scream “we made it!” to the tune of ABBA’s “Happy New Year” at this point. There’s a lot in here, and, sadly, some that is not (comment and tell us what we overlooked, please!)

Marriage equality happened at both the state and federal levels, which is amazing. Trans-awareness grew through media and grassroots. Ginger Minj! At home, we got a new editor Billy Manes (who got married!) and bid farewell to the amazing Steve Blanchard after his longtime tenure.

So, come along with us as we turn the pages of our memory file and bask in the glory of all us, as the LGBT community, have accomplished. Can’t even believe it, really. Our big gay year was the best year ever.
