PH announces their GD line up
One of the biggest weeks for LGBT and LGBT-friendly businesses in Orlando is Gay Days week, and one of the biggest clubs in town certainly outdoes itself with a massive weekend to rival the giant circuit parties down the street on I-4. This year, the Parliament House Resort has outdone themselves! As always, PI at PH returns on Gay Days Thursday on June 3, a throwback to the days of Pleasure Island where Thursdays were their unofficial Gay Night at the former Mannequins bar. Drag legend Coco Peru will be at PH both Thursday and Friday. Singer Erika Jayne, also known for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will perform on Friday. A big double header is scheduled for Saturday, with comedian and actress Sandra Bernhard and belter Deborah Cox. The weekend will close with another double header featuring Betty Who and Estelle.
The Rainbow Connection
Earlier this month, The Rainbow Family and Friends group of The Villages were able to present the Humane Society of Lake and Sumter counties with a check of $6,678 from a paper shred fundraiser held at the Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital. The money raised certainly deserves a round of a-Paws. Celebrating their seventh year, this non-profit LGBT social and charitable group is very active within their communities. The BIG three for these two
Two LGBT owned and operated businesses just celebrated their big three! Savoy Orlando celebrated its third year under the new ownership of Brandon Bracale-Llewellyn and Patrick Razzo. Since the new ownership, Savoy went on to add a dance floor and renamed the back patio. Mojoman, the “IT” place to buy your fashionable to daring bathing suits and underwear also celebrated their three-year anniversary. Owner Lane Blackwell was offering some major discounts April 1 weekend as they were making room for the barrage of merchandise arriving for Gay Days and all the spring and summer festivities.
