RuPaul’s All-Stars Drag Race will be back on Logo for its second season August 25 and the cast has been revealed!
“The girls dropped whatever they were doing to do this,” RuPaul said in an exclusive cast-revealing interview with Entertainment Weekly. “We’ve got a hundred girls now, so we could pretty much do All Stars forever.”
This season will feature a mini reunion of season 5 favorites, including the Rolaskatox trio – Central Florida-native Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska Thunderfuck and Detox – as well as Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese.
Ginger Minj, another Central Florida beauty, will grace the stage alongside her season 7 co-contestant Katya. Season 6 runner-up Adore Delano, season 4 standout Phi Phi O’Hara and season 2’s Tatianna will also lip-sync battle the Drag Race stage.
Roxxxy Andrews was runner-up in season 5 and Ginger Minj placed third for season 7, will either of these Florida queens be able to snatch the crown this season?
Upon the All Stars lineup reveal, Roxxxy and Ginger took to social media to respond to an offensive tweet that tried to make a joke Pulse shooting victims and Roxxxy’s casting.
Twitter-user @NickStarr tweeted the following: “Seriously @RoxxxyAndrew? Isn’t she a has-been not a star? Where her people at? I thought they were all shot.”
Roxxxy posted a screenshot of said tweet on her Instagram account with the caption: “Something has to be done … I pray for people like this say whatever you want about me but the people that we lost will NOT BE DONE!”
Ginger showed that even in the heated Drag Race competition that #OrlandoUnited is still strong by providing support with a reply on Twitter that reads: “What the actual fuck is wrong with people? How can you make jokes about a horrible tragedy that affects us ALL?! Ass.”
