Emmy-nominated “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” star, Tituss Burgess makes his dancefloor debut with the release of the Pride-inspired song “Dance M.F.”, according to an official press release.

The song is a “sultry sexy stomper of a track” and was inspired by Burgess’ feelings of anxiety caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“‘Dance M.F.’ was born out of the panic I felt at the onset of the global crisis that has all of us in isolation,” Burgess said in the release. “It was written for me – until I realized I wasn’t the only one that needed to hear it.”

The song is also dedicated to this year’s Pride season which, because of social distancing, will be characterized by numerous virtual celebrations.

“This song is a love letter to all the party people who in spite of the pandemic, are still committed to ‘live their best lives,’ party on down and celebrate Pride safely while in lockdown,” the press release states.

“Dance M.F.” was co-written by Burgess, produced by Daniel Edinberg, and features additional vocals by American singer Imani Coppola.

Burgess is set to star in the Apple TV+ animated sitcom “Central Park,” as well as the Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect” alongside Jennifer Hudson.

“Dance M.F.” is now available for streaming and purchase.
