Disney unveils its 2020 Rainbow Collection

Disney has added an assortment of new products to its Pride-themed collection in celebration of Pride Month 2020.

Customers can choose from a variety of rainbow-infused items to evoke a spirit of LGBTQ pride: various graphic t-shirts, backpacks, a pin set, sunglasses, rain jacket and more.

Disney even added a Rainbow Minnie Mouse plush to go along with the Mickey Mouse one introduced last year.

Since debuting in May 2018, Rainbow Disney Collection has had a philanthropic relationship with the LGBTQ educational organization GLSEN, donating 10% of its proceeds from sales in 2018 and 2019. This year, Disney will be donating $100,000 to the organization.

Although Pride Month just began, the collection has already caught the eye of Disney fans.

Twitter user Lyndsey Burns gushed over the new collection, while LGBTQ activist Em Miller-McCaffrey expressed a sense of pride over this year’s collection as a whole.

Disney is also using the language of music to reach people during this Pride season. Walt Disney Records has curated a Disney PRIDE playlist, featuring Disney hits from the likes of Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Idina Menzel and the High School Musical cast.
