onePULSE Foundation unveils Rainbow Run medal design

ORLANDO | onePULSE Foundation released the medal design for its fifth annual 4.9K CommUNITY Rainbow Run, which will take place as an in-person event at Wadeview Park in Orlando June 5.

The medal design features the word LOVE with the letter V (the Roman numeral for 5) larger than the rest to commemorate the five years onePULSE has held this event overlaid on a colorful background. The back of the medal displays the onePULSE promise of “We Will Not Let Hate Win.”

The Rainbow Run returns as an in-person event after going virtual last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the 4.9K run/walk at Wadeview Park, a shortened Kids Fun Run and a virtual option will also be included in the event.

onePULSE Foundation wrote in a press release that they will “provide a run experience that includes safety protocols such as physical distancing, capacity limits, mask requirements, proper sanitation practices and starting in pace groups to help keep the community in good health.” The release also advised that in-person participation will be limited.

Early bird registration for the run is now open and is $40 through March 31. The price increases to $49 April 1. On-site, same day registration is $60. All in-person participants will receive an official T-shirt, backpack, race bib and commemorative run medal. Those who register for the virtual run will be mailed their official T-shirt, backpack and commemorative run medal in advance of June 5, if registered by May 12. The virtual run is $45 until April 1 and $54 after that date.
