ST. PETERSBURG | The Wet Spot Pool Bar and Day Club has shared new details and is now selling monthly memberships ahead of next month’s anticipated full opening.
The Wet Spot first opened in June during St Pete Pride as construction continued on the bar’s pool. The space has intermittently served patrons without the amenity in the time since.
Located at the historic Mari Jean Hotel, the forthcoming LGBTQ-focused venue which also houses Cocktail, The Back Room by ZaZoo’d and The Saint, The Wet Spot is expected to fully open by mid-to-late August. Each of the businesses stem from LGBTQ entrepreneur David Fischer.
“I think the people here were looking for places to shop, celebrate and be themselves,” he told Watermark in June. “They feel comfortable in our businesses and that’s great.”
The Wet Spot first announced memberships were available July 27, detailing rates and more for the pool bar’s daily passes, cabana hammocks and monthly memberships. A select number are now available.
“Starting today until they are gone you can be one of the limited lucky first to have a monthly membership,” The Wet Spot announced. “Once they are sold we will not sell more until someone cancels.”
The Wet Spot’s Soaked Membership costs $150 per month and includes unlimited monthly access to the pool, one complimentary towel, one complimentary drink, up to four guest passes per month and more.
Loyalty perks will also accumulate. Members will earn five free drinks after three months, a one liter bottle from their bottle service menu at six and a VIP cabana at nine months.
Cabana hammocks will be $200 and be available on a first come, first served basis for up to six people. They include access to the pool, cocktail service, one complimentary drink per guest and more. A limited number of daily passes will also be available for $25 and include pool access, one complimentary drink and other benefits. They will be available once the pool opens.
