ST. PETERSBURG | Halloween on Central returned Oct. 30 with activities and entertainment organized by, for or inclusive of the LGBTQ community.
Halloween on Central 2 once again transformed 22 blocks of Central Ave. into a car-free zone. It was presented by the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, the Grand Central District, EDGE District, St Pete Pride and the City of St. Pete.
This year’s Trick or Treat sponsors included Come OUT St. Pete, Metro Inclusive Health and St Pete Pride. COSP managed the 28-30th St. blocks with vendors and entertainment at GhoulFest II while Metro transformed the LGBTQ Welcome Center into a Haunted House.
St Pete Pride, responsible for the 24th and 25th blocks, once again presented FrankenPride. Costume contests and more entertainment captivated the crowds.
Additional LGBTQ offerings in the Grand Central District included Cock-O-Ween at Cocktail and The Wet Spot, which welcomed rapper Cazwell and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Aiden Zhane that evening, and the soft opening of Zoie’s. The venue also welcomed guests of its own Oct. 29.
In the Edge District, Enigma’s evening culminated with shows featuring fellow “Drag Race” alum Trinity the Tuck. The region’s other hotspots also welcomed Halloween enthusiasts throughout the day and well into the evening.
Watermark was on hand to celebrate the LGBTQ spooktacular. View our photos below, as well as others from COSP and St Pete Pride.
