ST. PETERSBURG | St Pete Pride welcomed supporters to the University Student Center of USF St. Petersburg April 30 for Mx St Pete Pride 2023, the organization’s reimagined drag pageant.
Formerly the Miss St Pete Pride Pageant, the event has entertained audiences for more than a decade. The evening celebrated the 2022 reign of Delores T. Van-Cartier and crowned three new representatives for 2023: a Miss St Pete Pride, Mr St Pete Pride and Mx St Pete Pride.
The pageant was rebranded to be more gender inclusive. Eight contestants competed across the three divisions, with Ceazia Giovanni Kreshe winning Miss St Pete Pride, Mr. Vyn Suazion winning Mr St Pete Pride and Kamarion Lavish winning Mx St Pete Pride.
“We are endlessly grateful for the community in St Pete, thank you for your time, energy and money,” St Pete Pride shared afterwards. “Every dollar that comes in to St Pete Pride helps make events like the pageant possible. We are looking forward to celebrating the 2023 Pride season with you and our newly crowned court.”
