SARASOTA | Project Pride kicked off Pride month with the return of The Grand Carnival June 3, setting the tone for Silver Pride June 10 and other festivities planned throughout June.
The gala welcomed local philanthropists, politicians and other supporters for “the shiniest ball of them all.” In addition to local performers, entertainment included headliners Ada Vox and Zee Machine.
“We are still riding the waves of excitement and gratitude following the tremendous success of the Grand Carnival,” Project Pride President Jason Champion shared with attendees June 5. “On behalf of Project Pride, I express our profound appreciation for your boundless enthusiasm, unwavering dedication and the magic you brought to the event.”

The inaugural Silver Pride followed the gala June 10, celebrating those members of the LGBTQ+ community “aged 50 and better” with music, vendors, food trucks and more. It was held at the Senior Friendship Centers.
