SARASOTA | Sarasota Pride held its 32nd celebration Oct. 21 from 12-5 p.m. in the Rosemary District, its first year organized by Project Pride.
Festivities began with a Pride Bike Rally led by Grand Marshal Tom Edwards and Donna Koffman, the celebration’s honorary ally, and also included a pet parade. More than 80 vendors welcomed attendees and the day featured an eclectic assortment of speakers and entertainers, including “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Thorgy Thor. During the ceremony, Project Pride also announced the opening of a Pride headquarters in the Rosemary District. They subsequently shared the news via social media, calling it “a space dedicated to celebrating love, diversity and inclusion.”
