GA Senator: gay slur originated from my office
U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss said that a derogatory slur left on the LGBT blog Joe.My.God on Sept. 21 appears to have originated from his office. A user identified only as “Jimmy’’ posted “All faggots must die” in a discussion of the rights of gays to serve in the U.S. military. The case has been handed over to the Senate Sergeant at Arms and is still under review.
Police say gay waiter stabbing was hate crime
Police booked 24-year-old Curtis Martin for attempted murder and committing a hate crime after he targeted and attacked a gay waiter because of his sexual orientation. Police say Martin asked the waiter if he was gay. When the waiter replied that he was, Martin repeatedly stabbed him in the neck with
a knife.
