ORLANDO | While no one wants to be quarantined, there are some cities better equipped allowing its citizens to handle the Stay-At-Home orders with a bit more ease, this according to the career-building website Zippia.
Zippia ranked 99 of the U.S.’s biggest cities based on average apartment sizes, how many people have broadband internet, the number of take-out options and the amount of green space they have to find out which cities are faring the best during this worldwide pandemic.
Orlando came in ninth overall and was the highest ranking Florida city.
“While Orlando has been economically rocked by theme park closures, residents sheltering in place have some advantages of those in other cities. Orlando is a sprawling city, with spacious housing. The city also has a surprising amount of take out options, 1596 to be exact,” Zippia wrote.
Orlando fell behind cities like Raleigh, Virginia Beach, San Diego and Las Vegas. Scottsdale, Arizona took the top spot.
Other Florida cities that were ranked include Jacksonville at No. 11, Tampa at No. 13, St. Petersburg at No. 40 and Miami at No. 58. The only other Florida city ranked is Hialeah, which ranked second to last.
The worst place to be quarantined, according to Zippia, is Newark, New Jersey.
