Descolonizarte TEATRO invite you to QUEER! A captivating “collective creation” piece that combines video, music, and movement as Desco ensemble and community members share their personal journeys of realizing they were queer, embracing their queerness, and coming out. Created and performed by diverse LGBTQ+ Latinx individuals, the show delves into the intersections of cultural identity, family, society, and self. This powerful production honors the resilience, strength, and unwavering courage it takes to live authentically in a world that demands conformity. Join us for an incredible performance!
The performance will be followed by a brief “Community Conversation” about the creative process.
The show is in English with some Spanish with supertitles in both languages as needed.

Descolonizarte TEATRO te invita a QUEER! Una cautivadora pieza de “creación colectiva” que combina video, música y movimiento en la que miembros de Desco y la comunidad exploran y comparten su historia de darse cuenta de que eran Queer, aceptar su Queerness y salir del closet. Creado y presentado por diversas personas LGBTQ+ Latinas, el espectáculo profundiza en las intersecciones de identidad cultural, familia, sociedad y el ser. Esta poderosa producción rinde homenaje a la resiliencia, la fuerza y el valor inquebrantable que se necesita para vivir auténticamente en un mundo que exige conformidad.
