1. When applying makeup, use the Mac brand that can be found at Dillard’s. To keep it from running, lightly spray your face with hair spray.
2. To keep the illusion working, don’t use duct tape to hide that male appendage. Use a gaff, similar to a thong. “It’s a thick piece of material that flattens things out,” Towers says.
3. Store your wigs in bags, then rework the hairstyle each time you use it. And it’s best to do the styling while the wig is on so that you can see how it will look during a show.
4. Walking in heels is easy. First borrow a friend’s stilettos and wear them doing housework. Four-inch heels and higher are the most flattering and feminizing to the calves.
5. Use makeup to make it look like you have cleavage. Use blush and eye shadow to paint your chest to make it appear that your breasts are larger. If that doesn’t work, good ol’ duct tape will pull them together to form cleavage.
Meagan Towers performs at 10 p.m. the second Saturday of every month at Domain in Gulfport.
