Stonewall librarian passes
The chief librarian of the Stonewall Library in Fort Lauderdale passed away Aug. 5. Susanne Phelps will be remembered at a memorial reception Aug. 20 and Stonewall National Museum & Archives will create a Library Fund in Susanne’s honor to maintain the ongoing acquisition and collection of books. Phelps is survived by her partner, Karen.

Broward broadcast focuses on HIV
A Broward web radio station is working to promote HIV and AIDS awareness. James Perigny, known to listeners at DJ Jimmy P, runs WHIV out of Fort Lauderdale's ArtServe building. The program is a mix of music and HIV/AIDS educational programming, and has an estimated 2,300 listeners. The show can be found at RedHispanaFl.org.

Broward Bares it Aug. 19
More than 125 performers will provide an evening of burlesque, music and comedy to benefit Broward House, an HIV/AIDS service organization. Broward Bares It is Aug. 19 at the Paradise Live Theater at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Tickets are $25. This year's theme is â┚¬Å”Tantalizing Temptations, Titillating Temptresses and Torrid Testosterone.â┚¬Â The fundraising goal is $50,000.
