One of the largest fundraisers of the year is back at the AMF Gulf Gate Lanesâ┚¬â€Âcomplete with host David â┚¬Å”Scarbieâ┚¬Â Mitchell.
The 13th Annual Bowling for Boxers fundraiser, benefitting ALSO Out Youth and Diversity: The Voices of Sarasota, is Sunday, April 15.
Admission is $15 and includes bowling and shoe rental.
â┚¬Å”Scarbieâ┚¬Â is known for her portrayal of classic Carol Burnett character â┚¬Å”Eunice,â┚¬Â from Mama's Family and for her imitations of Lily Tomlin. Mitchell, Scarbie's creator, is a Sarasota-based actor and artist who has appeared at fundraisers throughout Sarasota and Tampa Bay and on the stages of Venice Theater.
According to organizer Jim Jablonski, funds will be raised through a silent and Chinese auction, raffle drawings and the ever-popular â┚¬Å”Mr. and Ms. â┚¬ËœBest Boxers' Contest.â┚¬ÂÂ
