The president of the Stonewall National Museum and Archive is stepping down. Bryan Knicely is leaving the position for a role as executive director of the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
In his resignation letter, he said he’d remain on board at the Stonewall Museum as a consultant.
“I am proud of our many accomplishments, and I thank you for entrusting the care of this organization to me during my tenure here,” Knicely wrote.
The Stonewall National Museum and Archives, located in Fort Lauderdale, is a publicly accessible cultural and educational resource that preserves, interprets and shares the heritage of the LGBT community. It was founded in 1973.
