One of the international dishes served up at the Fringe Festival is a favorite that has been served up twice before.
Mike Delamont returns as the deity in a power suit in “God is a Scottish Drag Queen III.”
Having not seen the previous incarnation of this cross-dressing, omnipresent being’s show, I was a little concerned I may not know where they had left off. Thankfully, there’s a brief introduction that pretty much sums it up.
I went in with very high expectations having heard nothing but rave reviews of the previous two shows and I certainly was not disappointed.
Consider this show a comedic Ted Talk life lesson with a holy power who speaks the truth, no not Oprah! She doesn’t sound like Shrek and look like Fred Flintstone in a dress.
Delamont certainly delivered, keeping the audience’s attention. This show is notorious for selling out, so get your tickets now, it would be a sin to miss it.
I’d like to mention that people aren’t joking when they say “God is Good.” Delamont is donating 100% of the ticket sales of his May 22 show to a Fringe fan who is battling cancer.
“God is a Scottish Drag Queen III” is playing at the Silver Venue at the Orlando Rep.
