A new program is coming to Logo TV just in time for election season.
Logo TV, the network that brings you “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and other LGBT-centric programming, announced July 28 that it is getting into the political arena with a new digital series. The series will focus on the current presidential race and how the issues at hand affect LGBT Americans.
The election series can be seen online at LogoTV.com. Clips from each episode will be available via Logo’s social media accounts on Snapchat and Facebook. The segments include interviews with attendees and speakers at both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Conventions.
The host, Logo TV contributor Raymond Braun, asks questions about the future of the LGBT community under the presidency of both current nominees.
A video posted on the website July 28 features a clip from the first episode, an interview with Chelsea Clinton.
Clinton describes the LGBT community’s representation in the Democratic Party as “[being] a harbinger for where we are going as a country.”
Braun is a YouTube personality and LGBT advocate. He was recently named one of the 100 most influential LGBT people in the world by OUT magazine, is a Forbes 30 Under 30 All-Star and one of MTV’s 16 Rising Social Media Stars in 2016.
“I hope to open up the political conversation and make politics more accessible to LGBT people,” Braun said in a statement released by Logo TV. “It’s important to provide a platform for people from all political backgrounds to speak out about LGBT issues and how we can exercise our influence in the political process.”
