Entertainer Lady Gaga has pushed back her world tour to the summer of 2021, in observance of the spread of COVID-19.

The Chromatica Ball, the six-date stadium tour in support of her sixth album ‘Chromatica,’ was originally scheduled to kick of this summer. However, widespread health and safety concerns spurred by the cornonavirus pandemic have led to the tour’s current delay. The popstar took to Twitter to make the official announcement.

“We’ve been working hard to figure out the safest and soonest way to bring this show to you, but most importantly want everyone to be healthy and able to dance together at the shows as we always have,” Gaga said in a tweet.

The original six venues of the tour remain unaffected and fans who have already purchased tickets will receive an email with follow-up information on the rescheduled shows, according to Gaga.

Fans online seem to be understanding of the tour’s postponement and some have even pointed out that the extension could allow for more Chromatica-related content to be released by Gaga.

“Chromatica” was released earlier this year in May and debuted at No.1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart. The album features the singles “Rain on Me,” a collaboration with fellow pop princess Ariana Grande, and “Stupid Love,” with both songs peaking at No.1 and No.5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 respectively. In North America, the Chromatica Ball will be making stops in Boston, Toronto, East Rutherford and Chicago.
