Originally scheduled for a theatrical release, “Happiest Season” is coming to Hulu subscribers as an early holiday present and the streaming service has released the film’s first trailer.
Directed by actress Clea DuVall (“Veep,” “Heroes,” “American Horror Story”), “Happiest Season” is a romantic comedy starring Kristen Stewart (the “Twilight” series), Mackenzie Davis (“The Martian,” “Tully”), Victor Garber (“Titanic,” “Legally Blonde”) and Mary Steenburgen (“Step Brothers,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”).
Abby (Stewart) wants to propose to her girlfriend, Harper (Davis), and what better place to do it than at the annual Christmas dinner hosted by Harper’s parents (Garber and Steenburgen)? The only problem is Harper’s parents don’t know she is a lesbian.
Alison Brie, Dan Levy, Aubrey Plaza and Ana Gasteyer also star.
“Happiest Season” premieres Nov. 25 on Hulu. Watch the trailer below.
