Actor Willie Garson passed away Sept. 21 at the age of 57.

Garson led a successful career for 35 years, starring in a multitude of films and TV series in Hollywood including “Sex and the City” and “White Collar.”

Garson’s son, Nathen, paid tribute to his father on his Instagram.

Nathen wrote in the post, “I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own.”

The actor had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but it is unknown if it was the cause of his death.

Garson’s co-stars paid their respects on social media to both Garson and his son.

Actress Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes in “Sex and the City,” posted to her Twitter a photo of her and Garson and captioned it, “So deeply, deeply sad we have lost @WillieGarson. We all loved him and adored working with him. He was endlessly funny on-screen and in real life. ”

Nixon also expressed her condolences to Nathen, “I hope you know how much he loved you and how proud he was to be your dad.”

Mario Cantone, who played Anthony Marentino on “Sex and the City” and whose character married Garson’s Stanford Blatch in the “Sex and the City” movie sequel, wrote on Twitter “I couldn’t have had a more brilliant TV partner. I’m devastated and just overwhelmed with Sadness. Taken away from all of us way soon. You were a gift from the gods. Rest my sweet friend. I love you.”

Garson’s “White Collar” co-star, Matt Bomer, honored Garson’s life in an Instagram post.

“I love you forever Willie Garson. You live on in our hearts and minds always: and your White Collar family is always here for Nathen,” Bomer said. “Save a place for me, because you know I want to be at your table up there.
