Netflix has opted not to bring its LGBTQ adult animated series “Q-Force” back for a second season.
“Q-Force” is the sixth show in 2022 to be canceled by the massive streaming service after only one season.
During an appearance on the podcast Attitudes!, series writer and voice actor Matt Rogers confirmed the show’s cancellation, only saying “It did not get a second season.”
The show, which was animated by Titmouse Inc., was heavily criticized by some when it released its first trailer for what were called “stereotypical characters.”
Featuring the voices of a cast of queer and queer-friendly actors including Sean Hayes, Wanda Sykes, Patti Harrison, Rogers, Laurie Metcalf and Gabe Liedman in lead roles, as well as several other guest stars, “Q-Force” introduced audiences to a secret agent and his team of LGBTQ superspies as they embarked on a series of adventures.
While Netflix will not move forward with a second season, the first season of “Q-Force” remains available to stream on the platform.
