The contemporary comedy “Mass Appeal,” directed by Frank McClain and produced by Wanzie Presents, has been moved to the Starlite Room @ Savoy instead of the originally slated White Elephant Cabaret Theater.
According to a statement from show creator Michael Wanzie, curtain time for the evening performances on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 22 have been moved to 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, July 23 matinee curtain time will remain at 2:00 p.m.
The production’s move comes after an announcement from the White Elephant Company, which was expected to open on June 12, stated that the theater “will not be opening as scheduled due to complications not of our own making.”
“We have not given up the fight,” the statement continued. “We will continue to work diligently with all parties involved to resolve the zoning issues which just recently were brought to our attention and bring this space to life for the Arts Community.”
Tickets purchased for the event at White Elephant will still be honored at the Starlite Room and no further action is necessary from ticket buyers. If you have not purchased your tickets, you can do so at the links below.
