Gay acrobats got engaged on Italian television after performing on Italia’s Got Talent.
Les Farfadais, an Italian acrobatic act, is performing this season on Italy’s version of the popular Got Talent competition series.
After the performance, one of the acrobats asks if he could do have a moment to say something. He then asked his partner if he would marry him.
The judges and audience erupted into applause as the newly engaged couple embraced and kissed on national television.
This is a big step forward for the conservative country.
Italy currently does not allow gay couples to adopt, have anti-discrimination laws covering sexual orientation and gender identity or recognize same-sex marriages.
