St. Pete Pride looks for executive director

On the heels of the largest St. Pete Pride ever, the organization is conducting a search for an Executive Director. St. Pete Pride is already accepting resumes, which must be filed with the organization by midnight on Friday, Aug. 7.

According to a press release from St. Pete Pride, its executive director will be responsible for leadership and management of the organization. Funds development, coordination of events, office management and media/PR work are all part of the role.

The 2009 St. Pete Pride celebration brought more than 80,000 people into the city’s Grand Central District. It was by far the largest LGBT pride event in Florida again this year. Besides coordinating the day-long celebration, St. Pete Pride produced events throughout the month of June leading up to the annual street festival and promenade.
Applicants interested in the executive director position should e-mail a cover letter, resume, contact information for three references and salary requirements to the Executive Director Search Committee at Search@StPetePride.com. The board asks that “Executive Director Position” be placed in the e-mails subject line.
