New LGBT visitor center for Miami Beach

A new LGBT visitors’ center is in the works for Miami Beach, where visitors can learn about gay-friendly businesses while they can stay, eat and shop.

The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc., and MetLife are behind the new center, which opened in October.

“MetLife is proud to take part in this momentous initiative,” said Carlos F. Suarez, CFP managing partner, New England Financial Miami. “We welcome the opportunity to reach the LBGT community through the new Visitor Center.”

Steve Adkins, president of the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc., said the center is “a spectacular way” to demonstrate to the community Miami Beach’s support of its gay residents and visitors.
