Orlando: We’re the smuttiest!

The City Booty-Ful
Orlando recently earned a tawdry title. Men’s Health magazine dubbed the City Beautiful the “smuttiest city” in America. The magazine claims their researchers took into account the number of pornographic films bought, rented or streamed online. They also looked into the number of adult stores and internet searches. The result? Men’s Health says Orlando is ahead of the rest when it comes to adult material. Las Vegas came in second. Tampa took eighth place and Miami is No. 12.

Know Your Colors, Know Your Fabricsâ┚¬Â¦Or Else
On May 5, openly gay television personality Clinton Kelly, co-host of What Not to Wear, visited Macy's at Millenia Mall. The fashion maven showcased must-haves for spring for women of all shapes and sizes. More than 100 feisty women asked questions and took note of Kelly's witty but truthful tips. He emphasized the importance of conveying style. For example, he wants stay-at-home wives and moms to trade in the â┚¬Å”uniformâ┚¬Â of track suits, hoodies and cross trainers for something equally as casual but still classy; a button-down shirt and ballet flats. Men also weren't safe from his critiques. â┚¬Å”I blame Seinfield and Friends for starting the trend of tapered jeans and sneakers,â┚¬Â he quipped. He explained that instead of sneakers, men should wear a boat shoe, a simple loafer or even a trendy boot. â┚¬Å”Unless you're a runner, you shouldn't be wearing cross-trainers,â┚¬Â he stressed. Best known for telling women what they should and shouldn't wear on the long-running TLC series, Kelly is also the author of Freakin' Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Behave Eat, Drink, Entertain, Decorate and Generally be Better than Everyone Else. And, since this past September, he's been one of the hosts of the ABC daytime show The Chew.

Orlando Converges on Brazil
For the first time, Orlando joined other top destinations marketing to gay and lesbian travelers through the efforts of a new Orlando LGBT Visitor's Bureau. The top 10 U.S. travel destinations participate in this annual event and until this year had never before included Orlando. Converge Orlando, Inc., the official LGBT convention and visitor bureau for Central Florida, headed up by Executive Director Mikael Audebert represented Orlando at the Annual Global Gay and Lesbian Travel Convention in Brazil April 12. â┚¬Å”I talked to about a dozen Brazil tour operators about Orlando before coming to the annual IGLTA convention,â┚¬Â Audebert said. â┚¬Å”Having a chance to talk to about 100 people all in one place is a one-of-a-kind opportunity.â┚¬Â IGLTA represents over 2,200 LGBT-friendly businesses in the hospitality industry, including airlines, cruise lines, hotels, destinations, service providers, travel agents and tour operators.
