Bouncing from one pool party to the next can cause a person to build up an appetite at Gays Days.
More than a dozen restaurants had just the answer at the annual Taste of Gay Days May 30 at the Hilton at Doubletree.
Visitors enjoyed four hours of appetizers, beer, wine and spirits and a DJ playing everything from Gloria Gaynor to Adele. Restaurants included Houlihans, Senor Frogs, Funky Monkey, Blue Martini, Copper Canyon, Cuba Libre, Jack’s Place, Crave and Dave & Busters.
Yummy dinner fare included: shrimp ajillo in a cup, southwest chicken wrap, pulled pork with apple slaw, hummus, an array of cheeses, poached salmon and macaroni and cheese. Mini desserts of chocolate-filled empanadas, cookies and cups of key lime pie, chocolate mousse, chocolate praline and strawberry shortcake.
Vendors gave away samples of sangria, lime and strawberry margaritas, beer, vodka, neon martinis and various beers and wines.
