Orlando – RBARR Discotek & Cocktail Boutique, formerly known as Revolution Nightclub, has shut its doors and will reopen soon as the iconic Southern Nights.
The new nightclub opens its doors Aug. 15, and management is excited to bring back the 35-year-old glamour and nights that once drew in crowds.
“The iconic LGBT night club in Orlando is known for its amazing drag shows and legendary guests,” said Rick Kowalczyk, owner of Southern Nights, in a media release. “Our guests have asked us over and over again for its return and we’ve listened. We’re bringing back the intimate nightlife experience everyone knows and loves, along with its legendary drag shows.”
One of the longest running lesbian nights in the nation will make a return Aug. 16, the opening weekend, featuring Ivy, the Les Vixens and Baby Blue. Southern Nights will also bring back some old staff members and original formatted nights. There is no word whether staff members will be rehired when the nightclub reopens.
Southern Nights management has not returned calls for comment.
