Adam Lambert channels a ’70s classic rockstar in the video for his single “New Eyes.”
In the video, Lambert performs in a club that becomes a trippy paradise from a mysterious green potion.
“Rainy nights I’ve know for awhile/ Getting away from myself again/ I was alive but empty inside/ Hole in my heart, I never thought I’d mend,” Lambert sings.
Lambert revealed he went through a “dark period” recently and was struggling with his mental health. He has said with professional help, touring with Queen and support from his colleagues, friends and family he “pulled himself out of the darkness.”
Queen’s Brian May praised the song on Twitter writing, “Strange – this took me a while to assimilate – wasn’t sure when I first heard it – but now definitely falling in love with this track.”
