Watermark returns with Movies Out Loud, presented by 26 Health, as an official Come Out With Pride event Oct. 8.
Join your hosts, comedian Jeff Jones and Real Radio’s Sabrina Ambra, as they roast the cult classic “Showgirls” with hilarious commentary as the film plays on the big screen.
“Showgirls” stars “Saved By The Bell’s” Elizabeth Berkley as Nomi, a girl who arrives in Las Vegas with only a suitcase and a dream of becoming a top showgirl. She goes from working at a seedy strip club to performing at the high-profile Stardust Hotel. But, as she ascends to the top, Nomi begins to wonder if it’s all worth it. Winner of seven 1995 Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture, “Showgirls” is heralded as one of the best “bad movies” ever made.
Watermark’s Movies Out Loud will be Friday, Oct. 8 at the CMX Cinemas Plaza Café 12, located at 155 S. Orange Ave, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the film starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. A portion of the proceeds with be donated to Come Out With Pride. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
Watermark would also like to recognize and thank each of the event’s supporting sponsors: the LGBT+ Center Orlando, Home Loans Radio, Harmony Health, Green House Realty, Savoy Orlando and CDW Electric.
